Be responsible and save lives, it's as simple as a choice. Don't drink and drive, it can kill an innocent life.
On September 22, 2021, at 8:37 p.m., Mia was hit head on by a drunk driver that crossed over two lanes into oncoming traffic. Her life was tragically taken instantly. Her cousin, best friend, and soulmate was in the passenger seat and suffered non threatening injuries yet is left with the brutal emotional and psychological damage of the crash for the rest of her life.
Mia was a senior at Allen Park High School, loving life and planning an amazing future. She had big dreams with the world at her fingertips. Her love and devotion to family and friends was profound and essential to her everyday life. This tragedy has left an incredible life destroyed, life long struggles and lasting effects that have devastated family, friends, and community.
Mia is my daughter, my heart, my best friend, my strength and shining light. She is my world and my everything. Mia will always be sharing her love, compassion, kindness and grace with the world and through me I will carry on her legacy. I will not let Mia's catastrophic death happen in vain. If one life can be saved by her senseless and horrific death then her purpose lives on.
Through this site my goal is to spread awareness, focus on change, create hope and support, and provide resources to honor, share and celebrate Mia’s beautiful life.
